The Strategic Decision Making Exercise (SDME) Student Handbook provides guidance for Army War College students in the execution of SDME 2011. This exercise is designed to apply concepts, processes, and strategic leadership skills in complex crisis scenarios. Students will participate in simulations of high-level government decision-making, focusing on interagency processes, crisis action planning, multinational coordination, and resource management. They will develop strategic policies, write position papers, and evaluate the elements of DIME (Diplomatic, Informational, Military, and Economic) in addressing national security threats.
