This is a book that explain Pacific War chronologically with illustration. The Pacific War, also known as the Asia–Pacific War, was a major theater of World War II fought across eastern Asia, the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and Oceania. It included the Pacific Ocean theater, the South West Pacific theater, the Second Sino-Japanese War, and the Soviet–Japanese War in the final months of the conflict. The war officially began on December 7, 1941, when Japan launched simultaneous attacks on American military bases in Hawaii, British colonies, and other territories. Despite early successes, Japan was gradually pushed back by the Allies using an island hopping strategy. The war ended with Japan's unconditional surrender on August 15, 1945, leading to the country's occupation and loss of territories in Asia and the Pacific.
