The Third Joint OPEC/International Energy Agency (|EA) Workshop on The Outlook for Energy Demand and Supply in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) was held in Kuwait City on 15 May 2005. The objective of the workshop was to discuss the economic prospects of the MENA region, and, in particular, to study the outlook for future energy demand and supply. It also looked at the region's potential sustainable development in the future. The workshop's findings are expected to contribute significantly to the fucture work programs of both Secretariats and, specifically, assist the IEA in the compilation of its report on The World Energy Outlook 2005: Middle East and North Africa Energy Outlook.
