With the objective of fostering coal mining development in Indonesia, ICMA in cooperation with and support of Directorate of Coal (DOC) took the initiative to compile this publication. Due to the complexities of compiling data and the linmited time available to produce this directory, the editors realised from the outset that there would be problems with this first publication, and apologise to the readers for its shortcomings. It should be looked upon as the first step in providing information relevant to the coal industry. The plan is to update and improve the content regularly on an annual basis.
