Brown to blue : 75 years of sacrifice

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), I extend my heartfelt congratulations for the remarkable achievements attained. Since its inception, RMN has evolved from a simple coastal guardian into a sophisticated navy, thanks to its continuous modernization program and visionary leadership. The successful round-the-world voyage of KLD TUNAS SAMUDERA and the anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden reflect RMN's ability to operate beyond its traditional waters. The recent addition of submarines to the RMN inventory signifies its transformation into a world-class navy. With these accomplishments, I am confident that RMN will continue to play an effective role in national maritime defense and inspire the nation.
