Dukungan Negara-Negara Eropa terhadap kelompok separatis Indonesia dan implikasinya

This study analyzes the support of European countries for separatist groups in Indonesia and its implications. Indonesia's diverse society, characterized by various ethnic, racial, religious, and cultural differences, has the potential to lead to differing opinions regarding national values. If these differences are not recognized as the nation's wealth that must be collectively preserved, they can threaten the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The varying interpretations of the establishment of NKRI can sow the seeds of conflict. Without proper management by the government, these conflicts may escalate, fueling desires for certain regions to secede from NKRI. Historically, the Indonesian government has struggled to instill values of unity and equitable development, leading to dissatisfaction among some groups and prompting resistance actions from separatist movements such as GAM, RMS, and OPM. While the GAM movement has reached a peaceful resolution through the MoU Helsinki, RMS and OPM continue their struggle by seeking political support abroad.
