Pursuant to the decision of the 5th ASOMM held in Yogyakarta, the Workshop on Standard Format for Development of ASEAN Minerals Database was held on 16 – 18 December 2003 in Bandung, Indonesia. This workshop is part of the activity of the Working Group on Mineral Database (WGMD) to begin work on establishing the ASEAN Mineral Database and it was agreed that Indonesia would host the first workshop. The Workshop was attended by delegates from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR. Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam. Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Indonesia and the ASEAN Secretariat were also present.
