Module 7 on Renewables, the Environment, and Planning contains three ofthe readings suggested for the Energy Policy and Planning Seminars conducted by the Finan ce, Industry, and Energy Division of the Economic Development Institute. This volume includes a curricular description of the Energy Policy and Planning Seminar, a summary of each of the eight training modules, and a partial listing of the readings for the whole senminar. These readings have been collected from a wide range of sources for the convenienue of trainers and participants.The selected readings discuss policy issues and measures designed to encourage efficient consumption, production options, and development plans in the energy sector. They are inten ded to enhance the awaren ess and analytical capabilities of the participants.
