The petroleum handbook (fourth edition)

Since 1948, when the last edition of this Handbook was produced, the petroleum industry has undergone many changes, both in the variety of its products and in the processes used to produce them. In the Royal Dutch/ Shell Group these changes have included the expansion of its chemical interests and of the research carried out in various parts of the world, the portions of the Handbook dealing with these subjects have therefore been enlarged considerably. In this new form it is hoped that the book will be of value not only to the newcomer as a fund of information on every aspect of the industry, but also as a general education to those with many years of experience in only one branch.
