This book contains 36 cases in the area of financial management and is dedicated to encouraging the type of dynamic students-teacher interaction that occurs best, in our opinion, in the case method. The cases included in this edition cover a broad range of financial management topics. They vary in complexity from short-range problems situations to long-range strategic issues. As such, the book could be used as a primary text in a course that is totally case-oriented or as a supplemental text in a more lecture-oriented framework. The vast majority of the cases describe recent financial situations faced by numerous companies. We have attempted to provide extensive industry and company data so that the student can limit searches for external environmental data and concentrate on the case situation. Many of the real company names have been changed to encourage this concentration.
