This publication describes the charm of Vancouver city complete with beautiful photography that features the city's other charms. The city of Vancouver has a rich history dating back to 1792 when Captain George Vancouver mapped and surveyed the area, marking the first European contact with the west coast of Canada. Gassy Jack Deighton established a saloon that became a focal point for the growing community. In 1886, Granville was incorporated as the city of Vancouver and soon after experienced a devastating fire. However, the city quickly recovered and began booming with the arrival of the railroad in 1887, shaping it into the modern metropolis it is today, with a distinctive British stamp and enchanting parks.
