The economy of Azerbaijan experienced remarkable growth, reaching 35 percent in 2006, the highest globally. Over the past five years, the country has maintained an average economic growth rate of around 20 percent. Indonesia has emerged as a significant trading partner, with bilateral trade reaching US$1.41 billion in 2008, a substantial increase from $396.3 million in 2007. Despite this, there is a lack of knowledge about Azerbaijan among Indonesian business players, government officials, intellectuals, and academics.
