Wojsko Polskie : the Police Armed Force
Over the past two decades, the Polish Armed Forces have undergone significant transformations in all operational aspects. The military has been downsized by a factor of three, transitioning from a conscription-based force to a professional standing army. This modernized force now operates in an integrated manner, linking the capabilities of various units effectively in combined military operations. There have been radical changes in structure, training principles, and the concept of deployment, now closely aligned with NATO and EU commitments. Technological modernization continues, aiming to enhance the armed forces' capabilities to meet contemporary battlefield challenges and increase Poland's role in the international security system. The contemporary Polish Armed Forces are an integral part of a coordinated defense policy within NATO and the European Union.
