Sectoral energy demand in China

As a result of consultations between the United Nations Economic Soial Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) and the former state Econ omic Commission (SEC) along with the Ministry of Foreign Feonomi c Relations and Trade (MFERT), the Energy Research Institute of the State Planning Commission and Academia Sinica had been engaged in the research project Sectoral EnergY Demand Analysis in China within the framework of implementation of phase III (1987-1989) Sub-activity p-1.1 on Sectoral Energy Demand Studies of the Regional Energy Develop- The Chinese team has conducted a lot of data collection ment Programme. and investigation it has also adapted the MEDEE-S model, recommended by ESCAP to data availability in China .
