Korean business and management : the reality and the vision

Whenever we confront an economic development that exceeds the general rate, we praise it as a miracle, when the economy stagnates, we then conclude the miracle was merely a bubble. It seems to be a common fallacy to declaim exclusively on the outputs or results of the economic development of a society while ignoring objective in-depth analyses on the characteristics and processes. Analyzing the business and management of a society is a formidable task, not only because such a critique should cover the dynamic reality of the society but also because it should be persuasive from academic and practical perspectives at the same time. Perhaps this explains why such attempts have been rare. In this book, audiences will be able to enjoy a great amount of diversity in the way that each issue is delivered--some are macro while others are micro in their research perspectives, some are more academic while others are practical, some are largely explanatory while others are strictly backed up by statistical analyses.
