Making the new Indonesia work for the poor
Since 2002, a team of leading Indonesian and international analysts under the Indonesia Poverty Analysis Program (INDOPOV) at the World Bank Office in Jakarta has been studying poverty in Indonesia. This report presents their findings on effective strategies and gaps in poverty alleviation efforts and provides recommendations for both the government and non-governmental organizations. Supported by contributions from government institutions, academia, and civil society, the report offers an in-depth analysis of poverty and a concrete policy matrix to help Indonesia meet its poverty reduction goals. The findings are intended to accelerate poverty reduction efforts and assist in planning for the five-year national development strategy and Millennium Development Goals.
