Game embedded strategy: introducing framework Tn=3 and GEMS for business strategy

The purpose of this book is to provide a framework for analysing business strategy, and its principal focus is the signalling of management type in the market-as-a-game. Drawing upon basic arguments in both game theory and the economics of strategy, Game Embedded Strategy distills these discussions into a cohesive setting called Framework In=3'. Using case materials and real-time examples, McNutt discusses the three supporting pillars of game embedded strategy (GEMS) - management type, technology and time. GEMS depends upon the game dimension and the context in which a game is played, which in turn depends on product and geography, technology and innovation in a product or service market, and on management type and the beliefs that guide their action. As such, management action and the execution of strategy are both interpreted as signals, and the signals are observed and captured by a critical timeline (CTL), which defines and describes the nature of competition in the market-as-a-game.
