CFA program curriculum : level I 2011 : economics
The Economics section covers microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, and economic indicators and markets. Microeconomics focuses on individual economic agents, supply and demand, and market equilibrium. Macroeconomics analyzes the overall economy, including national income accounting, aggregate demand and supply, fiscal and monetary policy, and international trade and finance. International economics covers absolute and comparative advantage, tariffs and trade barriers, and exchange rates. Finally, economic indicators and markets explores the importance of economic indicators and the role of financial markets.
