GRE course book
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is administered by Educational Testing Service (ETS). According to the testmaker, the GRE is "designed to assess academic knowledge and skills relevant to graduate study ... scores from [the GRE], when used properly, can improve graduate admissions and fellowship selection processes." Most graduate departments in the United States require GRE scores as part of the application process. In North America, the GRE is only offered in a computer-based format. Elsewhere, it is typically offered in paper-and-pencil format. In this guide, we'll cover only the computerbased GRE.
