Energy Situation in China-petroleum industry
China is today one of the world's most important energy producing and consuming nations. Coal reserves in China is the highest in the world. The consumption of coal accounted for more than a quarter of the world's demand and three-quarters of the country's total needs. Output and share of oil and gas increased during much of the past decade. The growth rate in crude production levels however, has slowed in recent years, due to the depletion of matured oil-field.
